Reservations are required in advance for tastings and tours. Book at least 1-2 months in advance. Napa Valley stretches about 30 miles long. To avoid spending your whole day in traffic, plan 2-3 wineries in the same general area, such as Calistoga, Rutherford, or Oakville.
